Nannocare Enters the Giving Season with Donations of Their Innovative Product, the Nannopad®

Nannocare continues their commitment to address social causes

Los Angeles, CA, December 06, 2018 --(PR.com)-- Innovative fem-tech company Nannocare recently kicked off the start of the giving season and Giving Tuesday with substantial donations of NannoPad®, the menstrual pad designed to naturally help relieve menstrual pain. In the week of Giving Tuesday alone, they donated 20,500 pads, raising their donation total in 2018 to 32,500 pads—with plans to double this number in 2019.

Access to affordable menstrual products is a major problem worldwide, and “period poverty” is no stranger to the U.S. Roughly 42 million women live in or close to poverty (The Shriver Report) and yet feminine hygiene items are considered “luxuries” rather than medical necessities by assistance programs. As a result, they are one of the top shelter demands—a need which Nannocare aims to address.

“We strive to give back in any way we can—be that through donations, time or knowledge,” said Victoria McHenry, Nannocare’s Vice President of Business Development. “We hope that we inspire women and other companies to give back as well as take more time to spread awareness of the issues we face as women and work together to make change.”

Last week, Nannocare visited a number of local shelters in their neighbourhood of Los Angeles in an effort to give back to the local community to offer their innovative product to women in need.

They donated 6,400 Nannopads to the Burbank Temporary Aid Center (BTAC), and 7,000 to the Downtown Women's Center, a local organization focused exclusively on serving and empowering women experiencing homelessness and formerly homeless women. An additional 9000 pads went to the Salvation Army Hollywood Youth Center.

Made from organic fibers containing Patent-pending Nannogenic™ technology, a proprietary blend of lab-tested safe naturally-occurring compounds, the NannoPad® was invented to soothe menstrual discomfort by increasing microcirculation to the affected area. It also has antibacterial properties to decrease odor and promote maximum comfort.

This is not the first charity event by Nannocare. They previously partnered with The Midnight Mission in Los Angeles, and will continue their giving back efforts in the future.
