Eight Dover Downs Hotel & Casino Employees Graduate from 2018 Culinary Advancement Program

Dover, DE, December 20, 2018 --(PR.com)-- Dover Downs Hotel & Casino celebrated the conclusion of its third Culinary Advancement Program with the graduation of eight employees during a ceremony on Monday, Dec. 17 at Dover Downs Hotel & Casino’s Festival Buffet.

There were 45 applicants to the program, 14 were chosen and eight have successfully completed career enhancing program.

Since February, eight Dover Downs Hotel & Casino employees who held positions varying from line cooks to dishwashers to housekeeping staff, have progressed through the company’s second annual Culinary Advancement Program.

All the graduates can now work in any of Dover Downs Hotel & Casino’s numerous food outlets.

“They have all worked hard for the last 11 months and have exceeded our expectations for this program,” said Jim Lake, Dover Downs Hotel & Casino’s Food and Beverage Director.

“It’s great to see that we are helping employees here at Dover Downs Hotel & Casino to move up within the company through this program.”

Hannah Lankford – Dover, DE
Anthoney Markley – Dover, DE
Austin Smith – Magnolia, DE

The Food and Beverage Department plans to continue these classes in the future to assist employees with their career goals.
