PlantDiego Plans Countywide Free Healthy Food Events for PlantStart 2019 in San Diego

This New Year, PlantDiego will help San Diego go plant-based with free health classes, food demonstrations, yoga, and participating vegan restaurants. The group is offering the PlantStart Challenge, which features the option of a local mentor for the month of January.

San Diego, CA, January 02, 2019 --(PR.com)-- PlantDiego is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to help San Diegans move toward a whole-food plant-based way of eating. Local residents may feel confused and unsupported after receiving a diagnosis of an all-too-common, life-threatening illness such as heart disease, cancer, or diabetes. Doctors are increasingly advising them to go plant-based for disease prevention and survival. Patients don’t know where to start. This is where PlantDiego comes in, as a support and educational organization, helping people learn to live healthy lifestyles. PlantDiego’s local experts have worked with Scripps, UCSD, Sharp, Kaiser and other health organizations, and have been living and educating about this healthful lifestyle for decades! They are happy to offer free support by sharing their knowledge and their own journeys with events and one-on-one mentoring throughout the month of January, 2019.

This New Year, PlantDiego hopes to help San Diego go plant-based with free health classes, food demonstrations, yoga, and participating vegan restaurants. The group is offering the PlantStart Challenge, which features the option of a local mentor for the month of January.

Events will be held in many locations throughout San Diego County. For example, every Tuesday in January (starting Tuesday the 8th with a kickoff party) at Eve in Encinitas, every Wednesday at Soulshine in Mission Beach, and every Thursday at Natural Delights in La Mesa. Yoga and Picnics will be held every Sunday of January on Mission Beach at Ormond Ct. hosted by Yoga in Mission Beach. All events are free and open to the public. Anyone who wants to PlantStart their New Year with healthy eating is welcome to join in the fun.
