St. Louis Company Awards College Scholarship Through 2018 Nationwide Essay Contest

St. Louis, MO, January 26, 2019 --(PR.com)-- Wellex, a next-generation healthcare services company, has awarded $2,500 in scholarship money to Schneika Harrison through its 2018 Nationwide Scholarship Essay Contest, which sought to educate college students on the importance of STD testing.

“Schneika’s creativity through social media recommendations and her realistic approach to our topic are what put her over the top,” says Wellex CEO Shannon Shores. “We received many responses from across the U.S. that made us feel confident in our efforts to increase awareness on the importance of STD testing.”

A current student at Jackson State University, Schneika Harrison submitted an essay entitled “What Are 3 Ideas on How to Better Educate College Students of the Importance of STD Awareness,” which was selected from more than 70 other entries.

As a STD medical screening company, Wellex is committed to the health and well-being of college students. Eligible applicants were required to be 18 years of age or older and currently enrolled at an accredited institution in the United States. Essays could be no shorter than 500 words in length.
