Jamacia, NY, February 01, 2019 --(PR.com)-- Eric Adams is a hero to millions. Not only is he the Borough President of Brooklyn, NY, but he has a story to tell. He fought diabetes and won. And he is not the only person reclaiming their health. Many people have been fighting disease and winning by going the naturopathic way. The thought of being on dialysis or insulin for the rest of one’s life is not appealing to many who have chosen alternative medicine. Some choose alternative medicine by force when their insurance carriers drop them. Many others have decided to turn their life around by making strategic diet choices, incorporating juicing, leading a disciplined lifestyle and getting enough sleep, water and minerals.

“It is true that by choosing a plant based diet, many diseases can be reversed. Many people are not able to assimilate or break down animal protein and fat as well as others. Many people are dehydrated, constipated, have too much sugar in their blood, causing a thickening of the blood that is unhealthy. Sodas, white sugar, white flour, alcohol, drugs, too much milk and meat, shrimp and pork starts causing all types of problems within the body. The liver and kidneys get overburdened and often stress throws the body off balance and unable to fight the constant onslaught. Plants have natural antibodies to help the body fight. Nettle, dandelion, spinach, kale, broccoli, cucumbers, cayenne, turmeric, ginger; they all have healing powers,” says Dr. Simone Lord, a board certified naturopathic doctor and author.

Dr. Lord is pastor of America’s first church and wellness center, Inspire NY located at 115-42 Sutphin Boulevard, in the heart of the developing mecca that is Jamaica, Queens. The wellness center offers iridology, naturopathic health consultations, massage by licensed massage therapists, herbology, steam detox therapy, reflexology and Reiki. The church offers a caregivers’ assistance program as well as a youth ministry program with music lessons for the youth, professional voice lessons and performing arts.

“It’s important for people to vent their emotions in a healthy way. People hold on to bad food, bad memories, bad break ups and they can’t seem to let go,” says Dr. Lord. "At Inspire NY, we help people to let go, sleep better, live healthier, better quality lives by offering them a listening ear, a good word, help with family issues, diet and lifestyle, engaging workshops and forums, and the opportunity and encouragement to turn their lives around for the better."
