HellaBella Launched Manicure Textline for Valentine's Week

HellaBella, a startup in New York, launched the Manicure Textline, a textable number that consumers can use to ask questions about nail salon recommendations, color trends, and more.

New York, NY, February 10, 2019 --( Just in time for Valentine’s Week, HellaBella launches the Manicure Textline to answer America’s questions about nail color trends, the best nearby nail salons, and more. To some, pink is pink, but to the customers of HellaBella’s Manicure Textline, the difference between "Mod About You" and "Princesses Rule!" are huge and that extra boost of expertise from the HellaBella Textline’s team are ready to respond.

To text the HellaBella textline, grab any mobile phone and send a text to 855-29-BELLA, or 855-292-3552. You’ll get a response from a member of the HellaBella team within a few seconds. You can text photos and videos to the textline, too, so showing off your great (or not so great) nails is as easy as taking a selfie.

“Some questions are about nearby nail salons, hours, etc.,” said Sonny Byrd from the HellaBella team. “But mostly, people are sending us their photos of their manicures asking if the color is on trend. We always send them in the right direction, which lately is a nude/natural color or a light pink.”

However, trends aren’t the same everywhere in the U.S.

“Bright, bold reds are really trending in Los Angeles at the moment, which Chicago is moving towards pastels so light they’re practically nude,” Sonny said.

The HellaBella Textline is a new concept developed by HellaBella, the NYC-based startup that produces the HellaBella app for women and men to book, pay, and tip at local nail salons in select locations in NYC.

“We’re planning on expanding rapidly throughout Manhattan in 2019,” said co-founder Matthew Tumbleson, who was the first Creative Director of Seamless/GrubHub, his app’s food-delivery counterpart. “We’re already working with dozens of nail salons in Midtown Manhattan, covering an area with a workday population of more than 1.2 million people. Nail salons are coming to us saying, 'We want this. Can you please add our salon?,' while consumers in New York are adopting the app as the new way to book and pay at nail salons. Last week, we had a beautiful weather day and we saw a huge spike in bookings. As we move into Spring, we’ll see a rapid increase in customers looking to get manicures and pedicures via a mobile experience.”
