Aberdeen, WA, March 26, 2008 --(PR.com
)-- Imagine trying to start your own practice only to find out that you don’t have all of the necessary “tools” to do so. That’s the problem Barbara C. Phillips faced when opening her primary care office. It was this problem that prompted her to create NursePractitionerBusinessOwner.com (NPBO); a site dedicated to providing others with the tools and support needed to start or expand their business or practice.
“So many NPs have told me how helpful and important this site is to them. Many of them have spent hours looking for information as well as other NP business owners to connect with. Their challenges are different from the NP that is employed. No only do they get the education, resources, but they get support from a community of like-minded NPs as well,” notes Barbara C. Phillips, NPBO’s founder.
NPBO’s goal is to bring together all of the avenues necessary for NPs opening a new practice or business. To do this Phillips has created an area where both aspiring practice owners and seasoned experts can come together to brainstorm, get answers to questions, tips and tricks, network, and to share their trials and triumphs. A key area of NPBO is the resource section where members can go to download necessary forms and documents, How-to videos and other helpful tools to make the transition into owning their own business or practice as smooth as possible.
With frequent guest interviews and a wide variety of resources, there is bound to be an answer to every question an NP ever had about starting or growing his or her practice or business. In addition to support from the NPBO community, a panel of experts; experienced in various aspects of business ownership are available to answer questions and offer support.
