Annual N3AP Winter Conference

Orlando, FL, February 28, 2019 --(PR.com)-- Chris Berry, founder of The Elder Care Firm, and member of The National Alliance of Attorneys for Alzheimer’s Planning (N3AP) attended the annual N3AP Winter Conference on February 1st and 2nd at the Disney Yacht Club in Orlando, Florida.

The subject of the conference was research for the disease and how to plan for its effects for the millions of Americans affected each year. Alzheimer's is the sixth leading cause of death in the United States, and the fifth leading cause among those over 65. A person with this disease lives on average, four to eight years after diagnosis, but can live as long as 20 years depending on other factors.

Although Alzheimer’s currently has no cure, research continues and there are treatments available for symptoms. The passion for finding a cure for the Alzheimer’s epidemic is part of what drives The Elder Care Firm to put such a strong focus on Alzheimer’s planning. Every year, The Elder Care Firm participates in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s, and last year raised $178,000 as a walk and over $12,000 as a team.
