Super-Hair.Net Names Crown Award Winners for Best Hairstyles of Year

"The Good Place" had a great night at the Super-Hair.Net Crown Awards, with actresses winning three times.

Newport, KY, March 13, 2019 --( The TV comedy, "The Good Place" is set in a utopian town. Apparently even the hairstyles are immaculate - and this year's online voting for outstanding styles shows it. Actresses from that series won three Crown Awards from the celebrity hair website Super-Hair.Net.

Series virtual assistant D'Arcy Carden was the only woman to win two awards, in "Hair Fan" voting conducted at the website over several weeks. She was named Best Brunette and Best Hairstyle on Television. Co-star Jameela Jamil captured the Crown for Best Bangs.

"Carden was nominated for the first time this year," said the overseer of Super-Hair.Net. "Jamil was recommended for her thick forehead-filling bangs two years ago, and received very little support. Perhaps Carden's success helped Jamil become a winner as well."

The top Crown Award prizes went to pop star Camila Cabello for Best Long Hair and ABC News anchor Amy Robach for Best Short Hair. Robach became the first woman to win the Short Hair prize three years in a row.

Women from eight countries won Crowns, including Cabello becoming the first native Cuban to win. The first-ever winner from Denmark was fiction writer Annika Von Holdt, who won the new Best Silver Hair category.

One category ended in a tie, as Nina Dobrev of Dog Days and Amanda Seyfried of First Reformed shared the Crown for Best Hairstyle in a Movie. Other Crown winners included Weather Channel meteorologist Kelly Cass, ESPN host Samantha Ponder and Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer.

The full list of winners with pictures of their styles are posted in the Crown Awards area of Super-Hair.Net. Visitors also can review winners from 18 prior years.

Super-Hair.Net has honored the top celebrity hairstyles of today and modern times since 2000, with a mix of information and interactive competitions. Over the years, the site has welcomed more than 1.6 million visits.
