American Heart Association to Benefit from Baby Boomer Girlfriends Spring Break

"While we’re getting together to have some fun, we also wanted to give back to a worthwhile cause so we chose the American Heart Association," says BAM Enterprises Founder & CEO, Beverly Mahone.

Orlando, FL, March 27, 2008 --(PR.com)-- BAM Enterprises has selected the American Heart Association to be the recipient of a portion of the proceeds generated from the First Annual Baby Boomer Girlfriends Spring Break.

BAM Enterprises is the primary sponsor for the Event, which will be held in Daytona Beach, Florida April 18-20, 2008. The Company’s Founder and CEO, Beverly Mahone, says “While we’re getting together to have some fun, we also wanted to give back to a worthwhile cause so we chose the AHA.” According to Mahone, a number of women in her Boomer Diva Nation Group have been affected by heart disease in one way or another. “I was diagnosed with congestive heart failure several years ago, my daughter suffers from cardiomyopathy and my dad died of heart disease so this is a cause I’m very passionate about.”

The donation will be received by a representative from the Ormond Beach, Florida Chapter during an awards dinner banquet Saturday evening, April 19. AHA Assistant Director Britnee Taylor expressed her gratitude upon hearing about the donation, “We feel grateful to BAM Enterprises and Boomer Diva Nation for their support of the American Heart Association.”

The Baby Boomer Girlfriend’s Spring Break will kick off Friday afternoon, April 18, with the taping of a town hall meeting by WCEU-TV to address issues and concerns of women at midlife. It will be followed by a meet and greet reception. On Saturday there will be a host of activities including a vendor shopping area, celebrity luncheon, aerobics workout session, pamper me mini-spas and seminars. The first 200 women to enter will receive a special gift bag fit for a Diva and $100 Visa Gift Cards will be given away as prizes during the seminars.

Tickets are still available and may be purchased at the door. Those interested in attending the luncheon and/or dinner must purchase their tickets in advance. For more information, go to: www.beverlymahone.com
