Lisboa, Portugal, June 13, 2019 --(PR.com
)-- A plastic bottle takes more than 450 years to decompose. To show everyone, WWF in partnership with NOSSA, is showing its decomposition in real time, in the longest live streaming ever. The livestream was launched during the earth hour, on the main square of Lisbon with the presence of several city officials and media outlets, and can be seen in our website.
The objective of the livestream, that will last 450 years, is to raise awareness to the growing problem of plastic pollution, and to raise 400.000 signatures for a petition that will be presented to key global leaders at the United Nations meeting on the environment, although it already surpassed that number.
The livestream is going to last 450 years but already went viral across the world with more than 500 different news outlets sharing our campaign across more than 50 countries. News outlets like: Fast Company, VICE, CNN Turkey, LIFE Russia, La Republica, Sputnik, Telegraf, The Drum, the 3 main Russian Tv Channels, Muse, SIC and all the Portuguese media.
