Giveback Tuesday Continues at Katie’s Pizza & Pasta Osteria on July 23

St. Louis, MO, July 19, 2019 --(PR.com)-- Following Katie’s Pizza & Pasta Osteria’s celebration of raising over $200,000 through its Giveback Tuesday events, the family-owned restaurant is continuing to support local charities moving forward. Specifically, the next Giveback Tuesday will take place at their Rockhill location on Tuesday, July 23, where KidSmart will benefit from funds raised.

Every month, Katie’s Pizza & Pasta Osteria features a local nonprofit charity and donates 100 percent of profits from the entire day to the charity. Lunch, dinner, drinks, and carryout are all included. So far, Katie’s Pizza & Pasta Osteria has donated $211,430 to local nonprofit organizations.

Funds raised from this Giveback Tuesday will be used to continue equipping underprivileged students in more than 160 St. Louis area schools. As the only free educational supply store in Missouri, KidSmart distributes $38,000 in free school supplies to students every day.

“Each year, 90,000 St. Louis area children cannot afford basic school supplies,” says Lauren Lazzaro from KidSmart. “KidSmart's impact is paramount to improving children's access to quality education. We are so thankful to be a part of Katie’s Giveback Tuesday.”

In 2018, KidSmart empowered 72,155 students in St. Louis to succeed in school by equipping 2,752 classrooms with $5 million worth of necessary school supplies.

Katie’s Pizza & Pasta Osteria is open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays, from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Fridays, from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturdays, and from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Sundays. Happy Hour specials run Sunday through Friday from 3 to 6 p.m. Carryout orders are also available.
