P2 Capital Partners' Joshua Paulson and Goldman Sachs & Co.'s Kim-Thu Posnett and Kurt Simon Elected to Posse Board

New York, NY, August 01, 2019 --(PR.com)-- The Posse Foundation has welcomed Joshua Paulson, founding partner of P2 Capital Partners, Kim-Thu Posnett, managing director at Goldman Sachs & Co., and Kurt Simon, managing director and vice chairman at Goldman Sachs & Co., as members of its Board of Directors.

Joshua Paulson is a Founding Partner of P2 Capital Partners, a New York-based investment firm that applies a private equity approach to investing in the public market. Prior to P2 Capital, Paulson was a Principal at Reservoir Capital Group, a New York-based investment firm that invests in both public securities and private equity transactions. Prior to joining Reservoir Capital, he was a Management Consultant at McKinsey & Co. Paulson received an MBA with high distinction from Harvard Business School, where he was named a George F. Baker Scholar. Paulson is a graduate of the University of Virginia, McIntire School of Commerce, where he earned a B.S. with highest honors, was awarded the School’s Beta Gamma Sigma scholarship, and currently serves on the school’s board. He currently serves as Chairman of Blount International and a board member of the EB Research Partnership.

Kim-Thu Posnett is the global co-head of Internet Investment Banking. She is responsible for advising a broad range of public and private Internet, eCommerce and technology companies on various transactions, including initial public offerings, private placements, follow-ons, high yield and investment grade financings, mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, raid defense, recapitalizations, spin-offs, divestitures and corporate restructurings. Posnett also serves on the IBD Technology Investment Committee. Previously, she served as global head of the eCommerce sector. Posnett joined Goldman Sachs in 2005 as an associate, became a vice president in 2008 and was named managing director in 2012. She serves on the board of the Brooklyn Public Library. Posnett earned a B.A. in History from Yale University and an MBA in Finance from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Kurt Simon - a veteran banker in mergers as well as media and technology, whose clients include Walt Disney Co. and Dell Technologies – left JP Morgan in 2018 to join Goldman as a partner. At Goldman, Mr. Simon is vice chairman of investment banking and co-chairman of its technology, media and telecommunications, or TMT, group.
