Texas Association of Health Underwriters to Hold 20th Annual Convention

TAHU Convention Aims to Educate Consumers on Healthcare Issues.

El Paso, TX, April 04, 2008 --(PR.com)-- The Texas Association of Health Underwriters (TAHU) will hold its 20th annual state convention designed to provide insurance professionals key knowledge and information to proactively address the ever-evolving landscape of health insurance, health care and employee benefits. The annual event includes such noted keynote speakers as National Association of Health Underwriters executive vice president Janet Trautwein, El Paso historian Leon Metz and national radio commentator and author Dave Racer.

The event, held in El Paso from April 30 – May 3, will convene an estimated 400 insurance professionals from across Texas and New Mexico who will learn and discuss key issues relating to health care reform and the impact to Texas businesses and consumers.

“With the recent launch of our 2008 consumer advocacy program, the convention is designed to help increase our influence on legislative policy within the state, particularly as it relates to single payer and government sponsored health insurance,” TAHU president Carolyn Goodwin said. “We want people to know that they have many healthcare coverage options available to them, and we are here to provide a better understanding of this.”
