)-- For the fourth year, Mars Bank is sponsoring the Step Forward Campaign which honors first responders, active military and veterans. Police, fire, emergency personnel and military Step Forward when others are backing away or turning to run. Mars Bank wants to honor their bravery and share their stories with our community. The public is encouraged to post their tributes and thank you messages on social media using #StepForward and tagging @MarsBankPA.
Fund for Firefighters
Each year the Step Forward Campaign supports first responder and veteran groups. For 2019, one fundraising drive will support the Butler County Community College Education Foundation’s Butler County Volunteer Firefighter Fund. The Volunteer Firefighter funds are available to assist all Butler County Volunteer Firefighters with the cost of the Fire Training courses, the Firefighter Certification, and EMT classes. Firefighters who wish to take the firefighter training courses can apply to have their tuition paid by the Foundation’s Firefighter Fund.
The bank is promoting BC3’s training program for firefighters and collecting donations for the scholarship fund through October 31, 2019. Donations will be collected at all banking centers and through online donation site Go Fund Me (search BC3 Firefighter Scholarship).
