2008 Walk ‘N’ Rock Fundraiser Benefit for Beats & Rhythms

Spokane, WA, April 08, 2008 --(PR.com)-- 2008 Walk ‘N’ Rock is a two part event to help raise awareness and funding for congenital heart disease. Beats & Rhythms provides support services for local children affected with congenital heart disease through art and music programs. June 2008 will be the first medically supervised summer camp specially developed for these kids.

When: Walk is May 10th at 10:00 AM in Riverfront Park, Spokane WA, and registration opens at 9:00 AM. Walk with their team for the American Heart Associations annual heart walk to raise awareness. Rock is May 10th at 5:30 PM at the Big Easy Concert House in downtown Spokane to help raise funding for Beats & Rhythms programs.

Who: Anyone wanting to show their support for congenital heart disease. Bands to play are London Get Down, Sweet Hollow, The Let Up, International Heroes and The Jonnyforest.

Where: Downtown Spokane, Riverfront Park and the Big Easy Concert House.

Cost: Walk is free. Donations to the American Heart Association and a team t-shirt purchase are requested but not required. Rock is $10 advance purchase and $12 event day through ticket master, any performing band or volunteer. Raffle tickets are $5 – prizes are gift certificates for local restaurants, Starbucks coffee, pair of weekend passes to the Lilac Tattoo Convention and a guitar autographed by Myles Kennedy (more coming). Sponsorship packages and reserved seating is available directly through Beats & Rhythms.
