Nurses for Newborns to Raise Money Through Katie’s Pizza and Pasta Osteria
St. Louis, MO, November 14, 2019 --(PR.com)-- Nurses for Newborns, which provides a safety net for families most at-risk in order to prevent infant mortality, child abuse, and neglect, will benefit from Katie’s Pizza & Pasta Osteria’s next Giveback Tuesday event. This event is open to the public on Tuesday, Nov. 26 at Katie Collier’s Rock Hill location.
Every month, Katie’s Pizza & Pasta Osteria features a local nonprofit organization and donates 100 percent of profits from the entire day to the charity. Lunch, dinner, drinks, and carryout are all included. So far, Katie’s Pizza & Pasta Osteria has donated $219,280 to local nonprofit organizations.
Funds raised from this Giveback Tuesday event will assist Nurses for Newborns with offering critical healthcare services to more than 2,000 local infants through trained registered nurses (RNs), community health workers, and licensed clinical social workers (LCSW).
“Our organization is constantly saving babies’ lives while helping them to thrive and grow,” said Kate Steele, Director of Special Events and Volunteers at Nurses for Newborns. “We highly appreciate the generosity of Katie Collier, who dedicated her Giveback Tuesday event to Nurses for Newborns this month.”
Since 1991, Nurses for Newborns has focused on in-home nursing visits, which promote healthcare, education, and positive parenting skills. They also provide a wide variety of vital services depending on the specific need of the family and newborn. This allows them to tailor their visits and assist with the various risk factors including poverty, depression, violence, education, and medically fragile babies.
Katie’s Pizza & Pasta Osteria is open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays, from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Fridays, from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturdays, and from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Sundays. Happy Hour specials run Sunday through Friday from 3 to 6 p.m. Carryout orders are also available.
