Frisco, TX, March 17, 2006 --(PR.com
)-- There are many reasons why Americans love chocolate. It excites the taste buds, releasing feel-good endorphins from the brain. It’s full of flavonoids, which contain the antioxidants that help you to stay healthy. It contains phenylethylamine, which mimics the feelings of “falling in love.” And, oh yeah, it tastes good too.
There is one thing that chocolate doesn’t do, though—it doesn’t give you more quality time with your family. But thanks to Personal Chef Shelley Merner of Elegant Eats, you can have your chocolate and eat it too during American Chocolate Week, March 19 to 25.
According to Chef Shelley, “Imagine how intoxicating it would be to have that falling-in-love feeling on a regular basis … and then having the time to do something about it. I provide more than just weeknight dinners; I can give you quality of life.” There is no better time to celebrate your love of chocolate with your family than during American Chocolate Week.
In celebration of American Chocolate Week, Chef Shelley will be demonstrating how to make a Chocolate Praline Pecan Cake at the Frisco Chamber of Commerce on Thursday, March 23, after the chamber’s “Get on Track” networking” event, attended by many of the leaders in the Frisco business community. The demonstration will begin at 9:30 a.m. and free samples will be given away afterwards. The Frisco Chamber is located at 6843 Main Street in Frisco.
If you can’t make it to the demonstration, Chef Shelley is giving away the recipe for the Chocolate Praline Pecan Cake for free on her website www.ElegantEats.net.
You may think that personal chefs are only for celebrities or the ultra-rich, but hiring a personal chef to prepare your weekly meals is in the same league as having a housekeeper or gardener—it’s a service that gives you more time to spend with your family. Instead of weekday dinners being a chore, you can now eat a delicious, well-balanced dinner every night of the week. Because the meals are prepared to your specifications—and can satisfy even the pickiest of eaters—your meals will be just as healthy as if you cooked them yourself, which let’s you indulge in something like a personally prepared Chocolate Praline Pecan Cake.
