NAFA Fleet Management Association and NETS, the Network of Employers for Traffic Safety, will present "Insurance and Risk Management Masters' Seminar" on May 2, 2008.

Salt Lake City, UT, April 11, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Do you know what insurance and risk liabilities you face as a fleet manager? Do you understand the potential issues your employer faces by supplying employees with vehicles? Would you like to know the most effective strategies to protect yourself and your employer?

Get all the answers and a complete picture by attending the upcoming "Insurance and Risk Management Masters' Seminar" May 2, 2008 at the Salt Palace Convention Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. The event is co-produced and sponsored by NAFA Fleet Management Association and NETS, the Network of Employers for Traffic Safety.

"Catastrophic loss should be on the mind of all fleet managers," said Matthew Betz, Vice President of National Account Sales for AmeriFleet Transportation, and moderator for the event. "One crash could cost millions of dollars in liability costs. By gaining a better understanding of the insurance industry and reducing risk in their fleets, attendees could possibly save their organizations million of dollars."

This seminar is for experienced fleet professionals and those pursuing NAFA's Certified Automotive Fleet Manager (CAFM) designation. An expert panel will provide an in-depth study of insurance and risk issues and offer strategies to protect organizations from the risks associated with those issues. The seminar takes place the day before NAFA's 2008 Institute & Expo begins, but requires a separate fee for materials. Seminar attendees also receive breakfast and lunch. To register, use the Institute & Expo registration form. You do not have to register for the expo to attend the seminar.

In addition to Betz, the panel will consist of Mike Heembrock, VP, Commerce Auto Executive Specialist, Chubb Group Insurance Co. in Whitehouse, NJ, Mike Arcuri, Worldwide Commercial Auto Underwriting Executive for Chubb Group Insurance Co., Kathy Konicki, Director of Associate Safety for Nationwide Insurance in Columbus, OH and Paul Rytting, Director of Risk Management Division for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Salt Lake City, UT.

"There will be a number of industry insider secrets revealed, as the presenters are all top level insurance industry executives with years of experience," Betz added. "Interest has been very heavy. In all of the years that I've been involved as a moderator or on I&E committees, this is the one session I've received the most questions and comments about in advance of the seminar."

Detailed discussions covering insurance/risk management, fleet risks, loss control and emerging fleet risk issues will be followed by a review of real life fleet risk scenarios. Space is limited, so interested fleet managers should sign up in advance.
