Demand for Panoramic Viewing Forces ImmerVision to Triple Its Office Space

ImmerVision has moved to larger office space in Montreal due to the increasing demand for ImmerVision's panoramic imaging technology. Video Surveillance was the first sector to adopt ImmerVision’s panomorph technology.

Montreal, Canada, April 12, 2008 --(PR.com)-- ImmerVision, the leader in panoramic imaging technology, has tripled its office space in Montreal, due to an increased demand for its 360-degree panomorph technology. Over the past few years, many manufacturers have been integrating ImmerVision’s innovative panomorph optics and algorithms into consumer, commercial and government applications.

“The world has decided to ‘expand its horizons’ to see in 360-degrees, said Pascale Nini, President and CEO of ImmerVision. Our new offices will give us the necessary space for the growth of our engineering, sales and marketing teams to better accommodate the demand for panoramic viewing,” she added.

ImmerVision markets its core panomorph technology through four distinctive business units; Video Surveillance, Consumer Communication, Multimedia and Custom Panoramic Applications. Each unit addresses key markets where panoramic functionality will bring disruptive innovation.

Video Surveillance was the first sector to adopt ImmerVision’s panomorph technology. The IMV1-1/3 360-degree panomorph lens has been an incredible success since its launch in fall 2006. Today, ImmerVision Enables has become a recognized logo for security products that have panoramic functionality.

Automotive, Aerospace, Defence, Robotics and Entertainment are some of the industries that are also taking the ‘panoramic turn’ with ImmerVision’s Custom Panoramic Applications to develop 360-degree panomorph lenses to meet their specifications.

The market for Mass Communication Applications will find people communicating, without restriction, using 360-degree webcams and mobile phones. These devices will soon be mass distributed by major brand name manufacturers.

ImmerVision’s PURE Player is the second most popular panorama player in the world. With more than 4 million users, it’s the only viewer that can play the same panorama file with Flash, Java, Window and Windows Mobile. A major marketing plan is underway to support and promote the PURE Player.
