Hybrid vehicles, combining conventional petrol driven engines with new HEV, Hybrid Electric Vehicle technology a new generation of American vehicle is set to hit the market. All the major manufacturers have vehicles either on the market or about to be launched. - The new technology usually features an “idle off” feature, in stationary traffic the engine cuts out and re-starts automatically once you are on the move again, thereby saving even more fuel.
