Anderson Township Thrift Store Announces Second Anniversary Celebration

The Peppermint Pig Thrift & Gift Holding Event to Benefit Safe Haven Animal Sanctuary.

Cincinnati, OH, April 18, 2008 --(PR.com)-- This week, the Peppermint Pig Thrift & Gift will celebrate its second year of operation on Beechmont Avenue and its accomplishments as the primary sponsor of Safe Haven Animal Sanctuary. Festivities will include daily specials throughout the week, and extended hours on the 26th.

On Saturday the store will host an open house for the Safe Haven Animal Sanctuary during which visitors will have the opportunity to mingle with dogs and cats available for adoption, enjoy refreshments and even meet the peppermint pig mascot, Peppy the Pig, in person. Alumni dogs from Safe Haven are also invited to attend the celebration. Attendees who bring in a box of dog or cat treats or a toy will receive an extra 10% off their purchase that day at the Peppermint Pig.

“We are proud to celebrate our second year of operation here in Anderson Township,” Peppermint Pig manager Joyce Hutchinson said. “Our mission has always been solely about finding a good home for rescued animals, and we’re excited to celebrate our anniversary and raise awareness of the Safe Haven Animal Sanctuary at the same time.”

The second anniversary celebration will be held April 26 at the Peppermint Pig on 8255 Beechmont Ave. in Anderson Township. The store will have extended hours in honor this event and will be open 10am to 7pm that day. All Proceeds from the sales at the Peppermint Pig Thrift & Gift go towards animal care and the purchase of a brick and mortar facility for the Safe Haven Animal Sanctuary, whose current roster of adoptable pets reside in loving foster care.
