Youth Sports Speed Coach Publishes First Book

Youth speed coach Roger White of Sport X Training has published his first book Developing Youth Speed.

Sterling Hts, MI, March 22, 2006 --(PR.com)-- Youth speed coach Roger White of Sport X Training has published his first book Developing Youth Speed.

A graduate of Wayne State University in Exercise Science and a past member of their football program, Coach Roger White has traded cleats for a stopwatch. Coach Roger White specializes in athletic speed development, with the majority of his work with youth athletes.

“In my years as an athlete and coach, there are not enough resources on youth athletic development,” says Coach Roger White. “Too often, young athletes are participating in programs designed for fully matured adults. Several months ago, I wanted to find a way to help as many youth athletes improve their speed properly and decided to write a book. So many kids are involved in more than one activity at a time and rarely have time to attend a speed development class. This book provides the same information I use when teaching speed classes. The information in this book has helped hundreds of metro Detroit youth athletes improve their speed in 2005 alone.”

The book covers topics such as proper warm up, the fundamentals of improving speed, scientific based coaching tips, and also includes a 7-week sample program.

Sport X Training provides a variety of athletic speed development classes ranging from clinics, team training to small group and semi-private training for athletes of all ages.
