Scottsdale Culinary Institute Chef Inducted to Arizona Culinary Hall of Fame

Executive Chef Jon-Paul Hutchins wins Culinary Ambassador Award.

Scottsdale, AZ, April 24, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Executive Chef Jon-Paul Hutchins of the Scottsdale Culinary Institute was named Culinary Ambassador at the 2008 Arizona Culinary Hall of Fame Awards, presented by Scottsdale League of Arts on Saturday, April 10.

“I’m truly honored to receive this award and to be included in a group of Arizona’s finest culinary masters,” said Hutchins. “I am deeply passionate about my craft and am thrilled that others recognize it. As a culinary educator, it is gratifying to see how that passion impacts our community at large. Scottsdale boasts an incredible array of destination resorts, restaurants and spas – many of which employ or are lead by Scottsdale Culinary Institute students and alumni.”

Held annually since 1992, this year’s Arizona Culinary Hall of Fame Awards were at the Wrigley Mansion in Scottsdale, Ariz. Other award categories included Culinary Chef Extraordinaire and Culinary Media Master. Past recipients of the Culinary Ambassador Award include The Thunderbirds Organization and Fred Unger of Spring Creek Development.

Other nominees included Guy Villavaso, owner and founder of Eddie V's Edgewater Grille, Roaring Fork and Wildfish Seafood Grille, and Scott Lyon, founder and managing partner of Westroc Hotels and Resorts. All were nominated for promoting tourism, hotels, resorts and key destinations within Arizona.
