Tampa Bay, Florida Hispanic Focused Association Team Takes Legislative Action

Board Members of the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals Tampa Bay Chapter Visit with U.S. Representatives in Washington D.C. to Discuss Industry Legislative Agenda

Tampa Bay, FL, April 30, 2008 --(PR.com)-- At a time when there is increased pressure in Washington for lawmakers to pass FHA Reform and create programs that deliver relief to distressed homeowners, the NAHREP of Tampa Bay Board participated in the 2008 National Legislative Conference of the same non-profit organization. Election year focus and the importance of the minority vote also gave added momentum to a coalition of minority trade organizations working in unison. Leading candidates on both sides of the aisle were invited to speak.

The leadership group, inclusive of the following members, is also very active on a local level. As Rita Sauri, chapter President stated; “It is now time to make a connection between what happens at The Hill, and those issues that directly impact those we serve in the Tampa Bay area.” The group included:
-Rita Sauri of Sauri and Associates, Chapter President
-Roberto Cabrera of Mortgage Solution Providers, Chapter Vice-President
-David Medina of Stewart Title, Immediate Past President & National Board member
-Brenda Santelises of RED Key Internacional, Secretary
-Susan Cabrera of Mortgage Solution Providers, General Member & Events committee

NAHREP is the fastest growing trade association in the country; and one of the most influential and important professional associations in the United States today. Their goal as an organization is to increase the rate of homeownership among Hispanics by educating and empowering the real estate professionals that work with this underserved community.
