Local Mom Launches Virtual Marketplace Featuring Black Mompreneurs, Featured Nationally

Jacksonville, FL, June 30, 2021 --(PR.com)-- In the midst of Covid-19, Felicia Wright, an entrepreneur, and mother, decided to launch a virtual Mompreneur Marketplace™, a platform that allows moms to share their stories about motherhood, business, and how our current situation is affecting them. Mompreneur Marketplace™ partnered with River City Live, a local Jacksonville TV Show viewed daily by over 10,000 people, last June right after the killing of George Floyd. One year later their collaborative efforts are still being honored while being intentional about featuring positive stories of black mom and women-owned businesses.

Additionally, Mrs. Wright created a black mompreneur directory, designed for black mom and women-owned businesses to list their business. Before the pandemic, Felicia hosted various local events where she gave small businesses an opportunity to showcase their products in person. Now she is able to offer a similar opportunity but in a virtual setting.

Wright launched a product line for her own company, Mygani LLC, featuring various shades of black girls with naturally curly hair. Products include travel bags, mousepads, yoga mats, handbags and more. In 2020 and 2021 the company was named Best Accessories by the BEST Society of USA. Mrs. Wright has been featured in Essence and Forbes Women. “Showcasing black girls with natural hair is a strong and positive statement for all girls and women of color, and today, it’s more important than ever,” says Mrs. Wright.
