“Members of the NSCS National Leadership Council must exhibit the three pillars of NSCS-- Scholarship, Leadership and Service,” said Bailey Kasten, manager of operations. “These students have shown through these qualities consistently.”

Students apply for these positions and are evaluated based on their NSCS involvement and their adherence to NSCS’ values of scholarship, leadership and service.

The Council serves as a sounding board for the Society’s staff; Council members also attend a local new member Induction Convocation and conduct research on their campus about members’ needs. The President and Executive Vice President also participate in NSCS’ Board of Directors’ meetings, held twice a year.
