Gov. Jon S. Corzine Welcomes Diversity Alliance for Science to New Jersey

Morristown, NJ, May 14, 2008 --( Diversity Alliance for Science ( has announced that Gov. Jon S. Corzine and the state of New Jersey have issued a letter of welcome to the organization’s inaugural conference and expo to Morristown, New Jersey on May 19 and 20. In a letter addressed to Diversity Alliance for Science, Corzine recognized the organization for its efforts in integrating more minority, women and service-veteran disabled business owners into the life sciences space. The conference will be held at the Westin Governor Morris, located at 2 Whippany Road.

The two-day event will focus on highlighting minority, women, service-veteran disabled owned businesses that provide products and services to the clinical and scientific industries. The event’s educational component will focus on developing strategies and solutions to mentor diverse life sciences firms to service large and complex scientific research organizations and government projects. The national event is expected to draw top-level pharmaceutical executives, high-ranking government officials and CEOs of diverse scientific and clinical enterprises. Merck & Co., Inc. is the keynote sponsor for the event.
