Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale Annual Fashion Show Electrifies the Runway

Fort Lauderdale, FL, May 14, 2008 --(PR.com)-- The Broward Convention Center will heat up on Sunday, June 1, 7:30pm, when The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale’s 9th Annual Student Fashion Show presents “A Scarlet Affair,” a sizzling night of fashion and festivities to benefit the American Heart Association and its Go Red For Women campaign.

The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale, in collaboration with the American Heart Association, presents a fashion show that not only highlights and features the talents of the college’s Fashion Design students, but also demonstrates the skills of students in other departments including: Digital Filmmaking & Video Production, Broadcasting, Photography, Visual Effects & Motion Graphics, Web Design & Interactive Media, and Culinary Arts. The event is broadcast live on the Internet.

Models strut along the catwalk in one-of-a-kind garments. Inspirations for the designs vary, and there will be a contest for the best red garment. Guests are encouraged to wear all shades of red to show their support for the American Heart Association and its Go Red For Women campaign.

Tickets, $20 in advance, are available for purchase in the college’s Accounting department, second floor, 1799 SE 17 Street. Tickets are $30 at the door. For more information, contact Gillian Rahael, 954-328-9273.
