Life On Long Island Takes Best of Category Award at 35th Annual BOLI Awards

Long Island, NY, June 01, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Life on Long Island, www.LifeOnLongIsland.com, the premier online portal for the greater Long Island, New York area, is pleased to announced that it has taken home a Best of Category award in the Internet-Independent category at this year's Long Island Advertising Club's Best of Long Island (BOLI) awards competition.

"This really makes all of the hard work we have put into the site worth it," said Kristin Kelly, Founding Partner of Life On Long Island. "We are honored to be named Best of Category, especially since the other nominees were phenomenal as well. This award will push us to work even harder and hopefully make LifeOnLongIsland.com the best Long Island portal website for years to come."

Internet entries were judged based on overall creative excellence, visual creative design, content, functionality, structure/navigation, and interactivity. Judges are selected from outside of the Long Island area. Only principals, officers, and experienced individuals in the creative, writing, and production fields are invited to judge the competition. Based on the judges' cumulative scores in each category, finalists were awarded a Best of Category statue or one of the three designated Certificates of Excellence: Gold, Silver, or Bronze.

The BOLI Awards is a nationally recognized advertising and marketing awards program with 700 of Long Island's marketing entities, including companies, not-for-profits, and educational institutions represented.
