StraighterLine Announces Free Textbook Offer

Washington, DC, June 04, 2008 --(PR.com)-- StraighterLine (www.straighterline.com), a new online education solution that provides students a high quality, better supported, and lower cost way to obtain college credits through regionally accredited colleges and universities, has announced it will offer its textbooks for all of its courses free from May 15 through June 30, 2008. This offer provides all textbooks at no cost for each of the four courses it offers in its initial lineup: College Algebra, English Composition, Economics 101 and Accounting 101. More courses are planned in the future.

When the offer expires, StraighterLine’s textbooks will return to their regular prices, which are substantially less expensive than the cost of an average printed textbook used for the same courses in standard “brick-and-mortar” colleges. Similarly, StraighterLine’s flat fee of $399 per course is much less than what most universities and college charge for those courses.

Additional information on the StraighterLine program can be found at www.straighterline.com or by visiting the StraighterLine blog at www.mmimarketing.com/blog/?author=straighterline.

“We are pleased to announce our free textbooks offer,” said Ryan Busch, director of StraighterLine. “In these days of rising college costs, we think many students will want to take advantage of not having to pay even a penny for educational material that is integral to the learning process and at the same time convenient to use.”
