Police used a K-9 unit to locate two school break-in suspects hiding on the school’s roof after detection by Sonitrol Pacific June 7.

Tacoma, WA, June 11, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Police located two Washington middle school break-in suspects hiding on the school’s roof after detection by Sonitrol Pacific June 7.

An experienced Sonitrol Pacific operator received a signal activation from the school and called the school district’s guard service to investigate.

The guard had responded to calls from Sonitrol Pacific previously and knew first hand the accuracy of the system in detecting and verifying threatening activity. He called the police to join him in the search of the school.

Officers responded with a K-9 unit and canvassed the school. Police located no one inside and began to leave when the police dog picked up a scent leading to the roof. Officers ordered the suspects to come down. Two individuals were taken into custody.
