START-IT Puts ERP Provider Deacom on Radar for 'Hot' List

Wayne, PA, June 12, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Deacom, Inc., producer of the DEACOM Integrated Accounting and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Software System for building component, prefabricated building, batch process, and mixed-mode manufacturers, has been named one of eight "Companies to Keep an Eye On" by START-IT magazine as part of its 2008 Hottest Companies Awards. The DEACOM System seamlessly integrates all areas of a manufacturer, including accounting/financials, inventory control, production, labor tracking, purchasing, sales order entry, and retail Point-of-Sale (POS) in a single software system.

The Hottest Companies Awards honor technology providers who develop innovative applications for the manufacturing industry. This year's "Companies to Keep an Eye On" were judged on a variety of criteria, such as revenue growth, important client wins, and significant events and accomplishments during the past year.

"As the manufacturing industry evolves, so must the technology companies that provide solutions to advanced manufacturers," says Peggy Smedley, Editorial Director of START-IT. "The performance of these companies shows they have the potential to make significant strides in the next year."

A look back at Deacom's activities throughout 2007 substantiates its position as a leading manufacturing software provider:

Surpassing its goal for sales revenue and increasing its staff by 60 percent, Deacom balanced the addition of new clients from core and new markets with the addition of new employees to provide continued stable support for clients and an equalized corporate environment for employees. As a result, Deacom was recognized as one of the Best Places to Work by the Philadelphia Business Journal.

In May, Deacom hosted its annual user conference in Philadelphia, PA. This was the first conference that joined together DEACOM users from all building component, prefabricated building, and batch process and mixed-mode manufacturing industries for educational sessions, networking opportunities, and DEACOM development news.

That same month, Deacom launched its new website (www.deacom.net) to provide improved access to ERP software information for manufacturers. The site later received a W3 Award for creative excellence on the web by the International Academy of the Visual Arts (IAVA) and a Gold Award by the Hermes Creative Awards.

"We're committed to supporting manufacturing business processes through the balance of speed and system integrity," says Deacom President Jay Deakins. "We had a benchmark year in 2007, and it's very gratifying to be recognized for our efforts by START-IT."
