New York, NY, June 30, 2008 --(PR.com
)-- Slate NYC and FedEx have launched a strategic alliance to offer eco-luxury laundry and dry cleaning services to residents of New York’s five boroughs, New Jersey, and Connecticut. Slate NYC users can now have their clothes picked up and delivered by FedEx, or they can pickup and drop off their clothes at any of the more than 500 FedEx Kinko’s and FedEx Authorized Ship Centers in the region.
Users fill up their Slate hamper with laundry and dry cleaning (no need to sort), schedule a recurring pickup on the Slate NYC website, and pay a flat monthly fee. Their clothes are cleaned using eco- and skin- friendly detergents and technologies – including methodTM detergents and wet cleaning – at Slate NYC’s West Village facility. Instead of using the ubiquitous and wasteful dry-cleaner bags, clean clothes are returned in custom-designed, recyclable corrugated boxes that use a significant amount of recycled content and use no toxic inks.
When: Service scheduled to launch by Monday, June 30
