Members of Philanthro Productions Receive a 2008 PSW Community Impact Award on Behalf of Deloitte & Touche

Third Place Win Signals Philanthro Productions’ First Community Grant.

Los Angeles, CA, June 14, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Philanthro Productions, a non-profit organization that creates unique opportunities for young adults to engage in charitable giving, today announced that key members of the organization have won third place in the 2008 PSW Community Impact Award Winners, given by Deloitte. The 2008 PSW Community Impact Awards honors employees of the professional services firm who have shown an outstanding commitment to community service during the past year. Philanthro Productions has been awarded $2,000 in funds that will aid the non-profit in continuing its goal of creating lifelong philanthropists.

“We’re proud to be recognized as leaders in our community, helping to forge the way young adults interact with charities,” said Ian Lee, 26, Philanthro’s Co-Founder. “Moreover, this opens the door to many new opportunities for us as an organization, especially in the development space.”

In just over a year Philanthro Productions has hosted five events, contributing over $43,000 in cash for pediatric AIDS, African relief, breast cancer, sustainable development, and local schools. Additionally, Philanthro Productions has provided nearly $30,000 in in-kind support to its partners. In the process, the organization has rallied nearly 150 young adults to get involved in their community.

Philanthro team members honored: Andrew Geisse, DC Consultant; Ian Lee, DC Consultant; Sean Cramer, DC Consultant; Kristin Salaya, Community Relations Specialist; Matthew Lew, FAS Senior Associate; Priya Koundinya, DC Consultant; and former DC Consultants Anneke Jong and Austin Kiessig.

The 2008 PSW Community Impact Awards winners received $4,000, $3,000, $2,000, and $1,000, respectively, to be given to a non-profit of their choice. Nominations were judged by the leadership of the PSW community volunteer councils. First and second place award recipients have worked extensively to benefit the Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation, the Susan G. Komen Foundation, the Alzheimer's Association and the Leeza Gibbons Memory Foundation.
