Sonitrol Pacific Detects Vandals, Three Apprehended

Hillsboro, OR, June 19, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Police took three juveniles suspected of vandalizing a school under construction into custody June 14 after Sonitrol Pacific’s security system detected their activity.

Securing a facility under construction poses a significant challenge to most electronic security providers. However, the experienced technicians at Sonitrol Pacific were able to provide perimeter security for the school and bring new levels of security online as construction phases were completed.

Thanks to the technicians’ expertise, a Sonitrol Pacific operator received a signal activation from the site and contacted police. When officers arrived on scene, they found three juveniles busy vandalizing the new school and promptly took the youths into custody.

Sonitrol Pacific protects more than 400 education facilities throughout the Pacific Northwest and recognizes the unique security challenges schools face.
