Tucson School Wins German Government Approval

Tucson, AZ, June 22, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Along with a significant growth in German business and investment in Tucson, and the continuing development of University of Arizona’s technological and research links with Berlin, local school the International School of Tucson (“IST”) has been recognised by the German Government as one of its global “Partner Schools”. IST is the only school in Arizona to be so recognised, and one of only ten in the United States.

The goal of the “Schools: Partners for the Future” programme is “to build up a worldwide network of at least 1,000 partner schools through which to awaken young people’s interest in and enthusiasm for modern-day Germany and German society.” More information on the programme can be found at
