StraighterLine Launches Blog

Washington, DC, June 25, 2008 --(PR.com)-- StraighterLine (www.straighterline.com), a new online education solution that provides students a high quality, better supported, and lower cost way to obtain college credits through regionally accredited colleges and universities, has announced that it has launched a blog to address industry topics and program details. The blogs will appear every Thursday beginning June 26 at www.mmimarketing.com/blog/?author=straighterline, and will discuss topics related to the program and its progress. Topics will include how StraighterLine addresses the considerable number of introductory college dropouts, how the program lessens debt burden for students in comparison to traditional colleges and universities, and how high school students who take college courses can use StraighterLine to their advantage, among others.

Launched on May 15, 2008, StraighterLine will focus initially on four entry-level curriculum courses where credit can be transferred: College Algebra, English Composition, Economics 101 and Accounting 101. More courses are planned for the future. Courses completed through the StraighterLine program can be awarded college credit by regionally accredited partner colleges. Student-earned credits may also be transferred to non-partner colleges that recognize the StraighterLine’s partner’s courses as equivalent programs.

Additional basic information on the StraighterLine program can be found at its official Web site, www.straighterline.com.

“We are excited to begin blogging about StraighterLine,” said Ryan Busch, director of StraighterLine. “We offer an introductory level college program that we believe is unique, affordable, urgent and necessary, and we look forward to telling more people about its many aspects and distinct benefits.”
