Lightweight, Low-Profile, NVG Mount Features Breakaway Safety

Newington, NH, June 25, 2008 --(PR.com)-- The L3 G10 One Hole NVG Mounting System by Wilcox Industries integrates a universal Night Vision Goggle (NVG) mount with a breakaway system that mounts directly and securely to a MICH helmet and is completely constructed from a lightweight aerospace-grade metal. Depending on operational situations, a switch allows the mount to easily breakaway from its helmet base to prevent neck injury from the NVG hanging up during strenuous activities such as fast roping, maritime operations, and direct action assaults.

Ergonomically positioned controls allow for easy one-handed near/far, vertical or tilt adjustments to create precise modifications to the eye relief of the NVG’s even while handling a weapon. A convenient button flips the mount straight so that they NVG’s have a low profile when stowed. The NVG’s can also easily be removed for storage and when removed the mount is virtually flat against the helmet. The system is compatible with NVG suites AN/PVS-7A, 7C, 14, 15 or 18. When the Wilcox AN/NPS Metal Interface Shoe is used, a magnetic switch powers the NVG’s off when it is flipped up.

The One-Hole NVG Mounting System can be used with the Wilcox NVG Lanyard for secure attachment, preventing loss of the NVG and mount while using the breakaway mode. A black matte finish provides covertness during combat operations. Wilcox’s breakaway universal NVG mount, interfaces with the entire L2 series of NVG mounting systems and weighs 5.87 ounces. Wilcox’s One-Hole Helmet Mount includes a lifetime warranty.
