Mercer to Present Live Webcast on the Integrated Theory of Business Valuation

Memphis, TN, July 09, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Mercer Capital CEO, Z. Christopher Mercer, ASA, CFA, will explain the “Integrated Theory of Business Valuation” in a webcast sponsored by the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts on Wednesday, July 16, 2008, 1:00pm – 3:00pm CST.

"The Integrated Theory of Business Valuation," the topic of Mercer’s latest book, helps business appraisers understand and correctly apply fundamental valuation concepts. It demystifies modern valuation theory and brings together various valuation concepts to reveal a comprehensive picture of business valuation.

Focused on demonstrating why business appraisers do what they do and how valuation concepts are interrelated, the “Integrated Theory of Business Valuation” provides a concise discussion of the most widely debated valuation topics. In this session, Mercer will define and explain valuation in the context of the discounted cash flow and Gordon models, providing the most unified and comprehensive framework for thinking about the sources of valuation premiums and discounts. In addition, the presentation will discuss the levels of value in the context of enterprise and shareholder cash flows, explain how to apply the Quantitative Marketability Discount Model (QMDM), and defend and explain the valuation of S corporations.

The webcast is scheduled for Wednesday, July 16, 2008, at 1:00 p.m. CST and runs for two hours. To register, visit the NACVA website at www.nacva.com.
