Community Partnerships, Inc. Appoints Two New Board Members

Marilyn Forbes and Esther S. Hall join Community Partnerships’ Board of Directors.

Raleigh, NC, July 10, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Community Partnerships, Inc. (CPI) today announced the appointment of Marilyn Forbes and Esther S. Hall to its Board of Directors.

“The addition of Ms. Forbes and Ms. Hall to CPI’s Board of Directors ensures the agency will continue to benefit from a diversity of knowledge and experience,” says Albert Fisher, Chief Executive Officer at CPI. “They are perfect additions to our organization because of their strong leadership skills, extensive community involvement, and their proven track records in helping nonprofit agencies succeed.”

Marilyn Forbes is a partner at Womble Carlyle, one of the largest business law firms in the mid-Atlantic and Southeast regions of the United States, where her specializations include litigation and product liability. Very active in the nonprofit community, Marilyn has most recently served as Chair of the board of directors for the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina.

Esther S. Hall is the Executive Director of the North Carolina Legal Education Assistance Foundation (NC LEAF). Esther has worked in key positions for several nonprofit organizations, including The North Carolina Community Foundation, Arts Together, Hospice of Wake County, the NC World Center (Exploris), and The Friendship Force of North Carolina. She has also been an active community volunteer, serving on the Board of Directors of the SPCA, the YWCA, Artsplosure, and the United Arts Council.

CPI also announced its new Board Officers, who will each serve two-year terms. Brant Spesshardt, a financial advisor with Banyan, Rock & Talent, will serve as Board Chair, Steve Epstein an attorney with Hunton & Williams LLP, will serve as Vice-Chair, Richard deButts, a CPA with Jewell, deButts, and Roberts, will serve as Treasurer, and Kent Goddard will serve as Secretary.
