The Impact of Cancer in the Young Adult Community

Reston, WA, July 13, 2008 --(PR.com)-- The Tigerlily Foundation’s Founder Ms. Maimah Karmo will be interviewed by Matt Zachery on The Stupid Cancer Show. The Stupid Cancer "Fem-tastic Chemo-tacular" Show is dedicated to young women affected by various cancers. Among the topics Ms. Karmo will discuss are the following: being diagnosed with cancer at a young age, the challenges it presents, being an advocate and much more. She will also discuss Tigerlily Foundation, what the organization encompasses and its goals for the future.

In July, Tigerlily Foundation had another major accomplishment. Tigerlily Foundation is now a Charter Member of the Lance Armstrong Foundation (LAF) Young Adult Alliance (YAA). This alliance provides expertise for the implementation of the strategies and mission of the LIVESTRONG Young Adult Alliance and brings a broad base of knowledge related to the many issues facing the young adult cancer community. Securing this relationship was critical to Tigerlily Foundation, as the organization will now be part of a larger community of cancer activists and educators who are working to advance common goals and to secure common interests to help fight the disease.
