Santa Clarita Rotary Club Installs Canyon Country Resident Doug Sutton as New President

Canyon Country resident Doug Sutton will be the 2008-2009 president of the Santa Clarita Rotary Club. The Club has many projects planned, including a joint project with the City of Santa Clarita to build a medical clinic in the Philippines.

Santa Clarita, CA, July 16, 2008 --(PR.com)-- The Rotary Club of Santa Clarita has installed Canyon Country resident Doug Sutton as their new president for the 2008-2009 year. Doug and his Board of Directors have great plans for this year in Rotary, including helping the City of Santa Clarita build a medical clinic in our Sister City in the Philippines.

Additional projects and fundraisers planned by the Santa Clarita Rotary Club include the freeway cleanup project, located at the Placerita Canyon section of the 14 Freeway, and the Luau, a community-based fundraiser to be held on April 11, 2009. This event will be emceed by Mayor Bob Kellar and Cathy Keysor Smith.

Sutton has been a member of the Rotary Club for six years now. He co-owns the SCFree Classified publication, and has always been heavily involved in circulation. He is married to Jeanne, whom he met while they were both in the fourth grade in elementary school. They have 3 teenage sons.
