Alchemilla Ultra-Pure Skin Care Relocates to Oregon

A commitment to local, sustainable resources and environmentally friendly manufacturing has moved organic skin care company Alchemilla (Al-ke-mil-lah) to Oregon.

Oregon City, OR, July 24, 2008 --(PR.com)-- A commitment to local, sustainable resources and environmentally friendly manufacturing has moved organic skin care company Alchemilla (Al-ke-mil-lah) to Oregon.

Brian and Deanna Vazquez, who co-founded Alchemilla in the San Francisco Bay in 2007, realized they needed more space and more rain to grow the large variety of plants and flowers used in their expansive product range. Alchemilla’s ultra-pure formulations are naturopathic in nature, in that they are focused on naturally and ethically guiding skin back to a state of balance with the aim of promoting its long term health.

“In Oregon, we can grow many of our own raw ingredients,” explains Brian. “We’re also closer to suppliers, ultimately reducing gas emissions and bulk packaging needs, and we will gain greater control over raw ingredient quality.”

Although the majority of Alchemilla’s plant ingredients are currently sourced locally from organic, biodynamic and ethically wild-crafted suppliers, the firm is converting its Oregon property into a Biodynamic Herb Garden. “This way, we can more closely monitor the cultivation and harvesting of our plant ingredients, while gaining an even greater understanding of their healing potential.”

Alchemilla's products can be found at a number of retailers across the country or online at their website.
