O’Neill Clothing Grows with Retail Pro POS Software

San Diego, CA, July 26, 2008 --(PR.com)-- SDCR Business Systems announced today that it has signed a contract for two additional outlet stores for its client O’Neill Surf Shop, whose flagship store opens this month in Anaheim’s GardenWalk. O’Neill originally approached SDCR for a POS solution to manage the rollout of their brick-and-mortar stores. The new O’Neill stores, which will open later this year, will feature Retail Pro Point-of-Sale (POS) software. O’Neill Surf looks forward to continued improvements in their inventory management, customer experience, and reporting capabilities with Retail Pro. In addition, SDCR will provide a custom portal that imports O’Neill’s purchase orders to its Full Circle application.

SDCR Business Systems is the Southern California certified reseller for Retail Pro software, which is the dominant POS software chosen by surf, skate, and other action-sports retailers. Matt Richardson, President and CEO of SDCR Business Systems, said, “We are very excited to help a company like O’Neill expand its retail operations with Retail Pro. O’Neill is a world leader in its industry and SDCR looks forward to growing with them while continuing its dominance in the action-sports vertical.”

In addition to O’Neill Surf, other high-profile brands in the industry using the Retail Pro software include Hurley, No Fear, Lost, Oakley, Jack’s Surfboards, and Catalyst.

About O’Neill
Around 1952, Jack O’Neill opened the first surf shop in a garage across the Great Highway in Ocean Beach, San Francisco. There he sold his first wet suits, a few vests he made from gluing together pieces of closed cell foam. When the vests started selling, Jack decided to go into the wet-suit business. By 1980, Jack O'Neill's surf shop had become a dominant leader in the global wet-suit market and had become a leader in beach sportswear in the U.S., Japan, and Europe. In 1985, having run Team O'Neill for years and having coordinated the company’s operations in Europe and Japan, Jack’s son Pat O’Neill assumed the CEO position, freeing Jack to surf, sail, and work at a variety of environmental projects.
