Teens in Custody, No Damage Done After Sonitrol Pacific Detection

Two teens took advantage of an unlocked door to get inside an Oregon school July 27. The school's Sonitrol Pacific security system detected them and sent security guards.

Aloha, OR, July 30, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Police took two teens into custody after a school’s Sonitrol Pacific security system detected sounds of movement and voices inside the school July 27.

An experienced Sonitrol Pacific sound analyst received the system activation from the school and listened to real-time audio to verify the nature of the activity. She heard voices and noises of movement and called the school’s guard service.

Security guards found a door open to one of the school’s portable classrooms and two juveniles inside. The guards detained the kids until police arrived. Officers charged the youths with trespassing and took them into custody.

The two teens happened upon the unlocked door and went inside. They were just sitting and talking in the portable when the guards arrived. No damage was done to the school and nothing was taken.
