Austin, TX, July 31, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Members of the second largest Association of Health Underwriters in the United States have elected their latest senior leadership panel to lead the 2008-2009 chapter year. Ron Buffum, Rusty Rice and Kelly Fristoe have been named president, president elect and secretary, respectively, to the Texas Association of Health Underwriters. Also rounding out the committee are Misty Baker, treasurer; Louanne Trebing, first vice president; Joanna Antongiovanni, second vice president; and Laura Firestone, Executive Director.

On the agenda for the upcoming year, the team aims to continue the platform of consumer advocacy instituted by immediate past President, Carolyn Goodwin and the 2007-2008 leadership. “I am honored to be elected to work with such experienced professionals and represent TAHU on the local and national level,” incoming TAHU president Ron Buffum said. “The previous leadership made a tremendous impact on consumer awareness and advocacy, and I’m humbled to follow in their footsteps. I know we are going to make great strides this year.”

The Texas Association of Health Underwriters boasts the second largest membership of all statewide chapters, and has earned national recognition by the National Association of Health Underwriters for their consumer advocacy, legislation and distinguished service.
