Detroit, MI, August 04, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Uplift, Inc., a 501(c) 3 non profit Idea Incubator most famous for its creation of Hustle & TECHknow Preparatory High School - Automation Alley Educational Program of the Year 2007- has redesigned its brand and website to better reflect its technology focus. Uplift's mission is reconstructing cities one idea at a time Utilizing Property (Intellectual, Technological and Real Estate) To Lift Individuals From Tragedy.
Ida Byrd-Hill, President of Uplift, Inc. believes the computer is the most powerful innovation ever. She has vowed to infuse technology heavily within inner cities like Detroit. Her first major project was Hustle & TECHknow Preparatory High School, a cyber school where students attended all of their classes online via the worldwide web. Her students, former high school dropouts, achieved world renowned success when her students qualified as quarter finalists in the National Vocabulary Championship. Last year 10,000 students participated in the qualifying test and only 79 qualified as quarter finalist. Hustle & TECHknow Preparatory High School sent 3 students as quarter finalists.
While she is looking to affiliate with a new school district this year, she commissioned an update of Uplift, Inc.'s brand and website to better reflect its technology focus.
The new website has a donation portal that allows for electronic fundraising 24 hours a day 7 days a week. The portal is secure as donations are processed through PayPal. " We are excited as we continue our campaign to promote Cyber Schools nationwide. This new portal provides us access to donors and like-minded technology enthusiasts world wide, especially as we prepare to launch our newest product, Strong Reader," states Ida Byrd-Hill.
Strong Reader, is a series of cyber reading classes for both youth grade 5 through 12 and adults who are struggling readers. The class series has 3 levels -
I Fifth through Eighth grade reading level
II Ninth through twelfth grade reading level
III Pre-standardized Test Preparation
"Strong Reader, is set to revolutionize education as the class is heavily audio and video based" states Ida Byrd-Hill. "It even has avatars that serve as class coaches."
Strong Reader, is set to launch September 2008.
