Grandview Design to Release Virtual Tour 'Lite'

This press release describes Grandview Design's plans to develop an out of the box version of their virtual tour software. A release date has not yet been announced.

Encinitas, CA, August 05, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Grandview Design has announced plans to develop a ‘light’ – or personal use – version of their popular virtual tour software.

Grandview Design current interactive virtual tour software is available only through contract services with the company, however the new software will be an out of the box alternative to the full service package.

While the new software will require users to obtain their own panoramic photography, it will give them full capability to recreate the fully immersive virtual tour environment themselves. At the click of a few buttons, anyone from anywhere and with any level of web expertise, will be able to assemble an interactive masterpiece.

Grandview Design plans to use this software to reach a broader customer base and hopes to revolutionize the way virtual tours are seen around the world. “We believe that most websites and virtual tours don’t capitalize on the possibilities of interactive media,” explains Carl Hansen, one of the company’s partners. “We plan to fully tap that potential, and make it available to the masses.”

The software will likely be available via a subscription-based service. The company plans to allow the client the full autonomy and ability to create the virtual environments on their own, while providing on-call technical support.

No release date has been announced on the ‘GVD Vtour light’. The tool’s beta version is anticipated to be released sometime in early 2009.
