Six Trespassers Arrested After Detection by Sonitrol Pacific

Police apprehended six suspected trespassers at a Washington middle school after Sonitrol Pacific detected them on the school's roof.

Tacoma, WA, August 07, 2008 --(PR.com)-- One of Sonitrol Pacific’s expert sound analysts led police to apprehend six trespassing suspects after receiving audio signals from the school August 1.

The operator received audio signal activations from the school and heard sharp “clack” noises and sounds indicative of movement from the third floor of the school. He sent the school district’s guard service to check out the noise.

Due to their experience with accurate alarms from Sonitrol Pacific, the guard service call the police department to meet them at the school.

Police arrived on campus and found six individuals on the roof of the school with a “co2 gun”. The individuals did not get inside the school, but they were taken into custody and charged with trespassing.

Since 1978, Sonitrol Pacific has assisted law enforcement in the apprehension of almost 5,000 suspects. The company provides intrusion detection, access control, video surveillance and fire monitoring to schools and businesses in the Pacific Northwest.
